Manufacturing is ultimately about people making decisions.
Technology should support those decisions, not replace them.
About
SKYLN Consulting was founded on a simple belief. Manufacturing businesses rarely fail because they lack effort, talent or technology. More often, they struggle because leadership lacks the clarity needed to make consistently better operational decisions. That is the problem I have spent my professional life helping organisations solve.

Founder, SKYLN Consulting
Dipankar Ghosh has spent more than four decades working with manufacturing organisations. His experience spans operations, industrial automation, digital transformation and operational performance improvement — often at the point where those disciplines meet, and where business value is either created or quietly lost.
That career has taken him inside plants of very different kinds: different products, different processes, different cultures and very different levels of maturity. The constant has been the question leadership teams keep returning to. Where should we focus first, and how will we know it made a difference?
He founded SKYLN Consulting to answer that question properly. Not with a technology recommendation, and not with a standard improvement programme, but with an honest understanding of how a business actually performs and where its profit is quietly leaking away.
His view of technology is straightforward. Automation, analytics and digital systems can be genuinely valuable, but they only create value when they improve the decisions leadership makes. Technology introduced without that purpose usually adds cost and complexity rather than performance.
What continues to motivate the work is practical rather than theoretical: helping manufacturing leaders recover hidden profit, improve operational performance and build organisations that are stronger and more capable than they were before the engagement began.
Philosophy
Technology should support those decisions, not replace them.
The challenge is seeing them clearly enough to act.
The greatest competitive advantage is clarity, not complexity.
The objective is always to leave the organisation stronger than before.
Experience
My career has allowed me to work with manufacturing organisations across multiple industries, helping leadership teams improve operational performance, strengthen decision-making and adopt practical approaches to digital transformation.
Rather than promoting technology for its own sake, every engagement begins with understanding the business objectives that technology should support.

Trust
Recommendations are based entirely on business value. Never on vendor relationships.
Every recommendation reflects real manufacturing experience. Not theoretical consulting models.
We work with leadership teams to build capability. Not dependency.
The objective is sustainable operational improvement rather than short-term fixes.
A personal note
Every manufacturing business has its own story. Before discussing solutions, I prefer to understand yours.
If we believe we can genuinely help, I'll recommend the most appropriate next step. If I don't believe we're the right fit, I'll tell you that honestly.
That philosophy has guided every client relationship throughout my career.
I look forward to learning about your business.
